A red flag warning remains in effect until 11 PM PDT Wednesday.

* Affected area... in orz639... fire weather zone 639 east slopes
of the northern Oregon Cascades. In orz641... fire weather zone
641 lower Columbia Basin of Oregon. In orz642... fire weather
zone 642 southern blue and Strawberry mountains. In orz643...
fire weather zone 643 northern Blue Mountains of Oregon. In
orz644... fire weather zone 644 central Blue Mountains. In
orz645... fire weather zone 645 Wallowa district. In waz639...
fire weather zone 639 east slopes of the southern Washington
Cascades. In waz641... fire weather zone 641 lower Columbia
Basin of Washington. In waz643... fire weather zone 643 Blue
Mountains of Washington. In waz645... fire weather zone 645
Asotin County. In waz675... fire weather zone 675 eastern
Washington southern Columbia Basin. In waz681... fire weather
zone 681 yakama alpine district.

* Timing... storms will continue to develop over the eastern
mountains and move north to northeast. Scattered thunderstorms
will continue to be possible through Wednesday evening.

* Thunderstorms... some storms may become strong with outflow
winds around 40 mph and small hail.

* Precipitation... there will be a mix of wet and dry storms with
anywhere from a few hundredths of an inch to over one quarter
of an inch of rain possible.

* Lightning activity level... 3 to 4.

* Impacts... frequent lightning and critically dry fuels may
result in numerous fire starts.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now... or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds... low relative humidity... and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.

National Forest... Treasure valley blm... Owyhee Mountains... Burns
blm... Vale blm and Baker Valley... which are fire weather zones
400... 401... 420... 423... 636... 637 and 646...

* thunderstorms... scattered thunderstorms through 6 am MDT /5 am
PDT/.

* Outflow winds... gusts up to 50 mph are possible with the
stronger storms.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now... or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds... low relative humidity... and warm temperatures will
create explosive fire growth potential.
